An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Wednesday granted 20-day remand of Maulana Khadim Hussain Rizvi, Pir Afzal Qadri, Pir Ijaz Ashrafi and Maulana Farooqul Hassan of Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) for interrogation in a case of launching violent protest against the acquittal of Asia Bibi. The Civil Lines police produced the suspects under strict security arrangements who were in protective custody of the police. The IO told the court that the physical remand of the suspects was required for the purpose of interrogation, photogramatory test, voice matching and recovery of sound system and funding amount. The IO stated that suspect Hassan was implicated in the case on the statement of co-suspect Waheed Noor, who was already on physical remand.
